Viral infections are known to critically influence the onset and progression of various diseases. For instance, respiratory infections can "awaken" dormant metastatic cancer cells in the lung. To maximize the impact of our findings in viral immunology, we leverage these insights to uncover the fundamental regulatory mechanisms underlying other immune-related disorders.

Our research specifically focuses on three key areas:

• 1) Immuno-Oncology: Investigating the cross-regulation between infectious diseases and cancer.
• 2) Autoimmunity: Exploring the role of newly identified viral-mediated mechanisms in autoimmune responses.
• 3) Allergic Disorders: Examining how these mechanisms contribute to the development of allergic conditions.
