The interaction between dendritic cells (DCs) and T follicular helper (Tfh) cells plays a pivotal role in the initiation of germinal center (GC) reactions for humoral immunity against infection. Center for Viral Immunology is dedicated to uncovering pioneering insights into germinal center reactions during viral immune responses. Building upon these fundamental discoveries, we also aim to leverage this knowledge for practical applications, such as the enhancement of vaccine efficacy.

To achieve this, our research focuses on four strategic pillars:

• 1) Identification of the specialized cellular niches for Tfh cell differentiation
• 2) Investigating the molecular cues governing early Tfh lineage commitment
• 3) Mapping the functional diversity within Tfh cell population
• 4) Advancing precision vaccination strategies targeting for Tfh cell
