Nury Kim earned his B.S. & Ph.D. in biology from KAIST, and worked as postdoctoral fellow in KAIST until joining the Center for Cognition and Sociality as a technical associate in November of 2012. After completing his Ph.D. work on microRNA expression profiles of differentiating stem cells, he moved onto the field of synthetic biology and contributed to the development of optogenetic tools including optoFGFR1, optoTrkB, optoTGFbR, and optoFas.
Headed by Nury Kim, the Support Group offer comprehensive support to all laboratory members in scientific, technical and bureaucratic issues within the center. The Support Group houses six teams specialized for their purposes:
Maintenance, troubleshooting, technical instruction of the state-of-the art instrument and equipment
