CENTER for GENOME ENGINEERING

As a one of research teams, our goal aims to understand behaviors of stem cells in homeostasis and aging based on our own genetic tools in several platforms such as iPSC, organoid, and organism across species. We have developed short conditional intron (SCON) which conditionally knock-out a target gene with single injection and have tailored the Rosa-Confetti multicolor reporter cassette for mosaic genetics. In addition, we focus on enhancement of the genetic tools and application of them via spatial genomics and high-content screening platform. As a core lab of research teams within CGE, we are mentoring and supporting the rest of eight-CGE research teams led by team leaders including four-adjunct scholars, two-research fellows, and two-senior researchers.

As a pathologist, my everyday routine is judging information from snapshots of a fixed specimen that may or may not represent the 'decisive moment' of a disease. As a scientist, I aim to understand disease by its dynamic, heterogenous and stochastic nature. Our team welcomes those that share similar interests and enthusiasim for research.
