Dr. Ho Min Kim joined the Graduate School of Medical science & Engineering (GSMSE), KAIST in 2011 and established the “Disease Molecule Biochemistry Lab”. Using structural biology techniques (X-ray Crystallography and Cryo-EM) as well as biochemical and cell-biological approaches, he has been investigated the molecular mechanisms of various protein complexes which play a critical role in human pathophysiology such as immune response and synaptogenesis. In parallel, based on the structure of disease-related protein complexes, he designed new therapeutic hybrid proteins and further develop them as potential biologics for cancer treatment.
In December, 2018, he has appointed as a chief investigator and launched the Protein Communication group (Center for biomolecular and cellular structure) at IBS Headquarter.
