Title: Investigating single-particle states in 111Sn through d(110Sn,p) with ISS
Abstract:
The Sn isotopic chain encompasses two major neutron shells, from N = 50 to 82. Systematic investigations of shell evolution, core polarization and nuclear collectivity in this long isotopic chain have been performed with Coulomb excitation and nucleon transfer reactions. While nuclei around 132Sn have already been studied with (d,p) reactions, experimental literature on nucleon transfer reactions with proton-rich Sn isotopes is scarce.
The d(110Sn,p)111Sn experiment took place at HIE-ISOLDE, CERN. The radioactive 110Sn beam was accelerated to 8.0 AMeV before striking CD2 secondary targets of various thicknesses. This marks the first experiment to probe single-particle states in 111Sn using (d,p) reaction. Typical energy resolutions of (d,p) reactions in inverse kinematics were greatly improved with the ISOLDE Solenoidal Spectrometer. Preliminary results of the experiment will be presented.
