The Center for Underground Physics (CUP) at Institute for Basic Science (IBS), Daejeon in South Korea is recruiting postdoctoral fellows in experimental nuclear, high energy, astroparticle and condensed matter physics. Successful candidates will be involved in low temperature detector development for neutrinoless double beta decay (AMoRE) and dark matter search (KIMS) experiments. Most of the work will be carried in IBS laboratories in Daejeon and YangYang Underground Laboratory (Y2L). Collaborative research on new experiments or new detector technologies will be a part of our activities. Candidates with outstanding achievements and potentials can be considered for a tenure-track position at IBS.
Candidates should have a Ph.D and a strong experimental background in one or more of the following fields: cryogenic particle detection, low background measurement in nuclear and particle physics, fabrication of (superconducting) sensors and detectors, and data acquisition.
To apply, please send a Curriculum Vitae, statement of research interests and experience, list of publications and a contact list for at least three references to lovely@ibs.re.kr. For further information, please contact Yong-Hamb Kim at yhk@ibs.re.kr. Applications received before March 31 are fully considered, and will be open until the positions are filled.
