To explore new physics phenomena of low dimensional materials
with a special emphasis on two-dimensional layered structures
April 8(Wed) - April 8(Wed), 2015
Room 85777
Speaker: Dr. Saba Saeed
Title: "Energy relaxation in optically excited silicon and germanium nanocrystals"
Date: Wednesday, Apr. 08, 2015
Time: 4:00 p.m.
Place: 85777 in CINAP building
After completing the PhD from University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Saba Saeed recently joined the Center for Integrated Nanostructure Physics IBS at Sungkyunkwan University for post doctorate. She will be presenting her PhD work on Wednesday 8th April at 16:00. You are welcome to join.
The scientific objective of the research presented is to explore energy relaxation processes of optically excited silicon and germanium nanocrystals. A fundamental understanding of these phenomena is an essential condition before these materials can be used for practical applications.
