** TITLE : ``Recent Developments in Large Area Photodetectors"
** Abstracts:
Large area photodetectors typically consist of photocathodes and electron multiplication devices. Conventional electron multiplication devices include dynodes or microchannel plates, while semiconductor electron multiplication devices—or combinations of scintillators and semiconductor electron multiplication devices—are used in hybrid photodetectors.
In this talk, I will review recent developments in large area photodetectors and present the KNU group's efforts toward developing a large area photodetector incorporating a photocathode, a scintillator, and a silicon-based electron multiplication device.
