Title: Low Temperature Thermal Transport in 3d U(1) Quantum Spin Liquids
Speaker: Prof. Eun-Gook Moon (Department of Physics, KAIST)
Quantum spin liquids (QSLs) are extraordinary phases which shows intrinsic many body entanglements by quantum fluctuations and geometric frustrations.
Recent experiments such as ones in Kitaevhoneycomb and pyrochloresystems demonstrate signatures of QSLs and call for deeper theoretical understanding of QSLs.
Here, we investigate thermal transport properties of U(1) QSLs on pyrochlorestructures. Intriguing scattering mechanisms between emergent particles are considered and transport properties are obtained. We also propose smoking gun experiments for the existence of U(1) QSLs.
