UV-VIS transient absorption(TA) system is a powerful method to probe the electronic and structural changes of ultrashort-lived excited states of materials, and it is designed to work with an regenerate amplifier femtosecond laser system.
TA technique is basically based on the pump-probe method, and probe is used to monitor absorption changes. In our system, we use white light continuum for the probe beam, so both spectrally- and temporally-resolved carrier dynamics can be observed.
TA technique can be applied to study photo-induced energy transfer in a solar cell, material properties of metal nanoparticles, photo-chemistry of quantum dots, and non-linear absorption spectroscopy.
