Welcome to IBS-KAI Conference on Infection and Immunity

We invite you to the 1st IBS-KAI Conference on ‘Infection and Immunity’ which will be held at Daejeon, Korea from July 12 to 14, 2023, co-hosted by the Center for Viral Immunology, Korea Virus Research Institute (KVRI), Institute for Basic Science (IBS) and the Korean Association of Immunologists (KAI).

KVRI was established in July, 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, within IBS to respond to newly emerging viral diseases. Currently, KVRI consists of two research centers, the Center for Study of Emerging and Re-emerging Viruses (director, Dr. Young Ki Choi) and the Center for Viral Immunology (director, Dr. Eui-Cheol Shin). Research at the Center for Viral Immunology focuses on innate and adaptive immune responses against viruses and tumors and mechanisms of immune-mediated host injury in human viral diseases.

In the 1st IBS-KAI Conference on ‘Infection and Immunity’, three renowned scientists, Dr. Rafi Ahmed, Dr. Mark Davis, and Dr. Gou Young Koh will give plenary lectures, and 23 outstanding speakers will present their updated data.
